the tech area. If the car goes directly to the tech area, we will skip the
trophy presentation.

TECH PROCEDURE:
2/25/2007 - we hope to have the sealing procedures updated in the next week or
so.
1. All engines must be sealed before they are allowed to race. The engine must
be drilled for sealing wire on 2 - adjacent head bolts on each head, 2 - intake
bolts and 2 timing cover bolts. If seals have been broken those areas effected
must be dismantled, re-inspected and re-sealed prior to racing.
2. All engines will be initially Teched at the beginning of the year prior to
the first race. Engine should have the pan removed, timing cover removed, heads,
intake and carburetor removed. Inspection will take approximately 2-hours. Once
inspection is complete you will be required to install the heads, intake and
timing cover for sealing. Contact Bill Diekman for Appointment or tech
questions: 1-507-235-6326.
3. Tech inspections can take place at any time, including the beginning of the
year, or any time thereafter.
4. For a Fee ($50 with-in 30 miles of Jackson plus $1 per mile above 30 miles)
arrangements can be made, by appointment, for an inspection and sealing at your
engine builders shop or at your shop. Make check payable to Bill Diekman. The
fee is to cover his time and traveling costs. 5. Obviously some items will need
to be teched race night.
PROTEST PROCEDURE:
1. 1 - Protest per car per night. Only driver can protest. Must Be specific on
component being protested (i.e. Rods - Pistons - Crank, Valve Train, Heads, Carb.
etc.).
2. Protest Fee - $100.00.
3. After the feature race, Jackson Speedway reserves the right to tear down the
engine of ANY race car. This reserved tear down right is separate and distinct
from any inspection to which any car is subject to.
4. After the Feature race, a track official will notify the driver, of that
feature race, that his race car has been protested. The protested driver shall
then proceed to the area designated for teardown and inspection pursuant to a
protest. Track officials will then proceed to tear down the protested engine
according to what was protested.
5. A tear down shall consist of the disassembly of the upper end, or lower end
of the engine. An upper end tear down includes, but is not limited to, the
removal of the Carburetor, spacer plates or adaptors, valve covers, intake
manifold, headers, valve train components and heads. A lower end tear down
includes, but is not limited to, removal of oil pan, crankshaft, rods and
pistons.
6. Only Track officials, the driver and one representative from that car will be
allowed in the designated tear down area.
7. The Tech inspector has the final word on the legality of the race cars
involved in the protest.
ILLEGAL PARTS PROCEDURE:
This procedure has been reviewed by the racing committee, as of 6/7/2005. If any
illegal parts are found, the driver will be disqualified, lose all points and
money for the evening, and be fined $100 for the 1st offense. The second offense
for the same infraction will result in a $500 fine, and loss of all points and
money for the evening.
Since this is a beginner class, the driver and car cannot run the Double Barreled Sprint Car Series and the Championship 360 Sprint Cars on the same night.
