Jackson Speedway Hall of Fame - The Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and get together is at 4:00pm in the Anderson Building (Which is the building just outside of Turn 4). This get together has become quite popular over the last couple of years, and is a great chance to visit with the Jackson Speedway Heroes of yesteryear. Many of the previous years inductees attend. This years inductees are The VFW Ladies Auxiliary - Who ran the concession stands in the VFW days, Dick Valentine - long time motor builder and drivers Junior Thaemlitz and Lyle DeVries.

Something new this year, is we are putting together a special VIP section for all current and former Hall of Fame members. This will be the bottom of the center section of the main bleachers (right behind the Flag Stand). This is so that the fans will be able to meet and mingle with the Hall of Fame Members and their families.

Increased Purses - For the US Army 360 Sprints the Wilmur Lundt Family is once again Sponsoring a memorial race and is putting up an additional $200 to the winner (So it will be $1200 to win).

For the NAPA of Windom 305 Sprints Dan's Repair of Ringstead, IA has added $500 to the purse so the payoff for the night will look like this: $625, 300, 250, 175, 150, 125, 125, 125, 125, 125 (10th), 100 (11th on back)

Kids Club - on Fair night we are working on having airbrushed temporary tattoos, as 305 Sprint Car Driver Jeff Edginton has offered to do this. However we are looking for a business to sponsor this as the ink is quite expensive. We could incorporate a business logo into these temporary tattoos. Cost for sponsoring the tattoos would be $200. We are also working on having Free Snow Cones for the kids.

T Shirt Throw - Heartland Image of Jackson has made up 125 T-shirts that the Uncle Jon and the Speedway Chicken will be Sling-Shoting into the stands with the Speedways new Super Sonic Sling Shot. Maybe some race teams want to donate a shirt or two.....and we can call it the Super Shirt Sling Shot Night???

Fireworks after the races Sponsored again this year by the Jackson County Fair Association. They have once again put together a GREAT Fair, lots of things to see and do, so come up early and check out everything at the Jackson County Fair!
