Some Notes from Jackson Speedway Promoter Jon McCorkell
I will have more pictures later today. Things are shaping up well. Although the forecast is likely going to give us some rain tonight and tomorrow, it is going to take A LOT, and I Mean several inches, to rain this show out! The Jackson Speedway, SLS Promotions and the World of Outlaws are all very committed to making this show happen. So far Saturdays forecast is respectable High of 62 almost no chance of rain and a breeze out of the Southwest diminishing toward Nightfall (Much Better than out of the North).
The track is in Great Shape and everything is ready to go!

Some Pictures from the Track Today (Click to Enlarge):
Above the Crew works on some adjustments to the newly acquired Lely Roterra. Other than taking the tumbler off the back, everything is set and ready to go, just in case we need it. SLS is also bringing in two additional Lely's, in the unlikely event we get a bunch of rain. But is always good to be over prepared! Not also the New tractor that is on loan from Ziegler.
We also have got back our Massey Ferguson, which has been repaired by Ziegler. We really owe Zeigler a big Thank You! Pictured is Dave Hillesheim Mechanic at Ziegler who did most of the work on replacing the clutch in the Massey.
The Fence is done for the New Pits Outside of Turn Number One. All that is left is to install the gates.
Everything is stock and ready to go.
Everything is trimmed up, and it is actually pretty dry around the fairgrounds, so some rain will be no big deal.
The Seating Chart has also been updated: You can also see we have indicated on it where we will be setting up satellite (or Mini Concession stands). These Stands will have Beer and Pop and a limited Concession Menu.
