B Mod Rule Change (8/5/08):
The Racing committee voted to change the B Modified brake rule as follows:

Previous Wording: Rear rotors .810 minimum thickness.

New wording: Rear rotors may be aftermarket .81 inch thickness (New), normal wear allowed.

In accordance with this rule change, the racing committee also voted to overturn the Troy Gochanour disqualification on 8/2 for this infraction.  The committee felt the wording of this rule to be incorrect as this rule allowed for no wear of the brake rotor.

Track points have been posted showing Troy as the 8/2/2008 winner.  Troy will also be awarded 1st place money and a trophy.

Updates on Jesse McCorkell (Jon McCorkell's brother)
Several people have asked me about my brothers website (he was seriously injured in an accident memorial day weekend) and that is http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jessemccorkell.  This is a nice site and my aunt and cousin update it on his condition, just about daily.

Jackson Speedway takes to the highways with Touring Series and ASA Member Track Affiliation
Jon McCorkell, promoter of Jackson Speedway, has his eye on the future, and it is looking at both the new Jackson Speedway Touring Series and an ASA Member Track affiliation as two ways for his racetrack to stand out and bring in new race fans.
